Our 2010!

Footprints in the Snow!

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamt he was walking with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes of his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of
footprints in the snow;one belonged to him,
and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the snow.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there
was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it had
happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered the man and he questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why,
when I needed you most, you would leave me."

The Lord replied,
"My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,

it was then that I carried you."

Europasiegerzuchtschau Dortmund 7.-9.5.2010

It was a Homeshow, only 22 km to drive ;)

We had a fantastic Weekend with family and friends!

Bongani got Place 1 with Vet. CAC VDH and Club DZRR (4 Entrys)

Judge: J. P. Achtergael (B)

Bongani startet against the Veteran Female under Richter T. Lehnen (B) and got the Ticket for the Ring de Honour as best Veteran Rhodesian Ridgeback, where we got no Placement today;(

Amila get from Judge T. Llehnen (B) Excellent 2 Reserve DCHA VDH in Championclass.

Abayomi start in a big Open Class (24 Entrys) and must go out of the ring as number 5, well done Daniela!!!!!

In Coupleclass we start under Judge: Dan Ericsson (SE), with no Placement!

On Sunday we had a short event in Showring, because we had to stay at the club Information stand to tell people about Ridgebacks.

So only Bongani was entered, and got from Judge H. Jürgens (D)

Place 1 with Vet CAC VDH and Club RRCD in Veteran Class, (2 Entrys) he also get the Ticket for Ring de Honour and there he get under Boris Spoljaric (KR):

Hard Trip with big results;)

After a short brake and week with much work we drove up on Friday evening (after work) to a horror Trip from Bochum (D) till Ruegen (D)(around 675km) for the "Landessiegerschau Ost 2010" and we show our Dogs under Judge L. Scheider with these results:

Amila get Excellent 1 in Championclass DCHA VDH / CAC Club RRCD " Landessiegerin Ost 2010"

and now she´s also

The Show ends at 15:30 and around 16:00 o clock we had to drove up to get the Ferry to Denmark at 19:00. All went well and we had a Transfer over sea from around 1 3/4 hour. So enough time for Dinner for all of us!! After that we had only 190 km to drive and we arrived around 23:00 o clock at St. Merlose (DK) at Showground.

Short night ;( The Show starts around 9:00 o`clock!

Ludge was Mrs. Gill Lawless from Great Britain.

Bongani get Excellent 4 in Open Class from 10 Dogs.

In the Competition for Best male we get no Placement.

Amila also start in Open Class with 7 other females and get Excellent 1.

Than we start in Competition for "Best Female" with around 18 females in the ring !!!!!!!

( In Denmark all Placed Dogs from all Classes goes for the CAC!)

My nerves, cannot explain in English;)

So only this:

Amila get second Best female and got the CAC from Champion Class female (who was Best Female)

and is now:

Danish Champion!

2 Championtitels at one Weekend. Many thanks little Mouse, you make us so proud!

In Ruegen (D) Abayomi get Excellent 1 in Open Class today under Judge R. Spörr (AT) with DCHA VDH and CAC Club RRCD so he only need 1 more Point for his German Champion!

Yesterday he got Excellent 2 from L.Scheider.

At 28.03.2010 we had a special Show from our Club RRCD in Kevelaer (D)

Judge was Dr. St. Schock (D). Bongani was the first in Veteranclass and get Place 1 with Veteran CAC VDH and Club RRCD

He also get

Bester Veteran!

Amila ´s first time in Championclass and she get Excellent 2 Reserve DCha VDH.

Also Bongani´s Abayomi was there and get in Open Class males Excellent 4

Update January 2010!

Part of the Bongani clan spend a holiday in Denmark, 12 days of romance at temperatures far below zero. Their affection will however, sadly enough, not bare any fruits.
